Indeed. Any publicity is useable publicity, and
all that.
I think you can keep a low budget publication
ticking over, but it requires a lot of effort,
and a half decent design too. No offence meant,
but I don't think anybody takes shoddy fanzines
seriously anymore - and you know this, of course,
being a comic guy used to pro layouts, compositing,
etc.

Nah, I know. I'm trying real hard to make the first issue look good. The cover has changed since that one up there. It looks a better now, not so "shoddy". Though I don't know, I have seen numerous fanzines recently that look quite crap. But that is why I have kind of based mine on one that I like. It was pleasing to my eyes, so I ran with it to a degree.

Price will be $3.00 to start with. Outside of the US I don't think will cost all that much more for shipping, but I will be finding out soon enough I expect. But I am pretty sure I will stick with the $3 for the first issue for everybody.
If anybody wants to order, go for it and I will send out as soon as we have these ready to go, which I expect to be in a few weeks. I'm going to check all my options for printing this week.

The cover is much better - not so much dead space
as before. Maybe it could do with a strong 'SR'
logo? What do you think about the present one?

Eh, I'm not in love with the logo, but I am also not a graphic designer at all and what little I have done usually looks like a retarded 3 year old on crack did it. So, I'm happy with it. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
